MAUD MUSEUM – ARCHITECT COMPETITION
24 March 2011 » planning process | respond
We can proudly announce that Tandberg Eiendom AS has taken initiative to a small architect competition regarding a Maud museum in Vollen, Asker, by the Oslo fjord. Two architect companies, Jarmund/Vigsnæs and Snøhetta are asked to produce suggestions for a Maud museum positioned in the water off the beach outside the old center of Vollen which is a very popular sea side leisure area in Asker. This is also the same area where Maud was built for Roald Amundsen nearly hundred years ago. It is worth mentioning that Snøhetta was recently rated as the worlds most innovative architect company of the world by prestigious magazine, Fast Company.
