CB-BLOG: FIRST DAY AND A GOOD CATCH

First dive this morning was a straight forward happening, doing some general overall filming of the Maud getting used to the environment and looking for changes since last year. The ship looks very much the same as before and that is for sure good news. Lets hope for the same also next summer when we arrive for the salvage operation.
During the second dive we lifted some grand old planks from the seabed, by the use of air. It worked quite well and we landed two major planks of 2″x 6″, 10 meter each. The planks seem to be in excellent conditions after 80 years submerged in the arctic water.
